YouTube sometimes turns a server away. When that happens the site now tries another route by itself, so your link still works. A download that has started goes on through the same route, and it can still be paused and continued.

YouTube changed how it hands out its files, and downloads here became slow or stopped after a moment. That is repaired: files now arrive at full speed, a download that broke off continues where it stopped, and a download manager such as IDM may fetch several parts at once. This also works for HD and 4K videos that are joined with their sound, in any audio language.

The standard design was redrawn: a clearer link box, bigger download buttons and a tidier list of sites. The installed app now opens with a clean loading screen that shows only the logo.
